As the head of national business development, Cory leads the company’s identification and expansion into new markets, geographic regions, and customer growth opportunities. Since joining FCL in 2011, Cory has been instrumental in growing FCL’s footprint from a single office into a national brand, spanning five regions and eleven offices—serving clients from coast to coast. Cory also has been a key lead and champion in team training, the development of the FCL Experience and maintaining consistent excellence and experiences across every FCL region.
Cory’s blended range of leadership and experience in construction, government, and politics provides a unique perspective in developing a vision for excellence, managing teams, building teams and relationships, and creating a culture that enables everyone on the team to succeed.
Prior to FCL, Cory spent 20-plus years in the design and construction industries focused on strategic growth planning, business development and national accounts for A&E firms and construction companies. He also spent 8 years in government and politics, first as a staff member in the Illinois State Legislature and eventually serving as a senior aide to a Member of the U.S. Congress. He also served as a Member of the Will County Board and President of the Forest Preserve District of Will County.
