Blake McClendon

Director of Construction

Blake leads the operations and growth of FCL’s Houston office, overseeing project delivery and strengthening relationships with clients, developers, brokers, and trade partners throughout the market. Under his leadership, FCL Houston has completed more than 3 million square feet since 2024 of industrial construction.

With extensive experience in institutional-grade industrial construction, Blake has managed more than $500 million in projects totaling over 15 million square feet throughout greater Houston. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, including site due diligence, pre-construction, estimating and bidding, construction, and final turnover.

Known for his hands-on approach and commitment to his clients, Blake remains actively engaged throughout every stage of a project while building strong, collaborative teams focused on delivering successful outcomes.

Experience

A lifelong Houstonian and patriot, Blake was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. He joined the Army after high school as 11B-Infantry and deployed to Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After serving 4 years and achieving the rank of Sergeant, Blake left the military, to attend the University of Houston and pursue a degree in Construction Management.

 

His military experience instilled in him an incredible sense of teamwork and an ability to get things done in high-pressure, high-stakes environments. He brings this same level of accountability and motivation to his teams, and his clients benefit from his relentless commitment to their projects.

Personal Interests

Today, Blake and his wife Randi and their two young children live on the west side of Houston near Bellville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and wade fishing the Texas coast as often as possible.
