Blake McClendon

Director of Construction

Blake joined FCL in 2024 as a Director of Construction and the head of our Houston office. He brings an expertise in industrial projects, extensive knowledge of the Houston market, along with a track record of leadership and growth.

Prior to FCL, Blake was a Partner/Director at Corvus Construction, where he co-founded the ground-up construction department. Under his leadership, Blake grew the operation from a start-up to over 3 million square feet of institutional-grade tilt-wall projects, delivering impressive organic growth and revenue in just 3 years.

Experience

A lifelong Houstonian and patriot, Blake was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas. He joined the Army after high school as 11B-Infantry and deployed to Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. After serving 4 years and achieving the rank of Sergeant, Blake left the military, to attend the University of Houston and pursue a degree in Construction Management.

 

His military experience instilled in him an incredible sense of teamwork and an ability to get things done in high-pressure, high-stakes environments. He brings this same level of accountability and motivation to his teams, and his clients benefit from his relentless commitment to their projects.

Personal Interests

Today, Blake and his wife Randi and their two young children live on the west side of Houston near Bellville. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and wade fishing the Texas coast as often as possible.
