The Goal The assembly plant was an historic undertaking to bring rail car manufacturing back to Chicago after a 60-year absence. An agreement between the city and the manufacturer included doing the manufacturing and assembly in a Chicago community that had built train cars in the past.
FCL Delivered The plant is on 45 acres, with a 380,944-square-foot manufacturing facility that will produce up to 846 modern passenger rail cars for the Chicago Transit Authority.
